Brand New SALT ROCK Grille + Cocktails Restaurant.
Their motto is “Globally Inspired…Locally Produced”, which sums up the Chef Pawelek’s way of thinking and cooking, as they take some Classic dishes and give it a bit of a twist. Think Filet of Salmon painted with an aged Balsamic glaze and fresh Strawberries or the ultimate in umami flavors (sweet, salty, savory, acidic, spicy): Portobello-filled Pasta tossed with a Coconut Milk, Masala Curry sauce, and diced Apples and Raisins. Start the meal with a Prosciutto wrapped Shrimp appetizer, finished with a Thai basil, Orange Juice and Grand Marnier reduction.
The Paweleks have hosted dozens of cooking shows both in South Florida and New Hampshire and have written numerous food columns for a variety of publications both on the East and West Coast of the U.S., including the Weekly Sun, View News, The Community Papers, The Courier, Helium, Chefs Feed, and Queens Ridge Magazine. During the coming months they expect to introduce special “Comfort Food from Home Nights” with specialties such as Meatloaf, Roasted Chicken, Chicken Cacciatore, Lasagna and Beef Goulash, as well as lighter dishes appropriate to the weather. They will also start focusing on recreating some of their favorite quarterly 4 course Wine Dinner Nights, Martini Flights and “Happiest Hours”. Visit them and you will most likely be addressed in the language of your home country as between them Chefs Jose Luis and Catharina speak a smattering of 6 languages: English, Spanish, French, Dutch, German, Italian.

We were told of Salt Rock by Allen a local property manager. he raved about the deserts. The Frozen Key Lime Pie in particular. After getting there we were greeted by Jose Luis who promptly gave us our choice of seats. He spoke to us a few minutes describing in detail all of the specials until our waiter came to take our order. he even offered to make a special sauce just for us if we wanted something different. the food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious and a nice sized portion. The breads in the basket that they give you are very tasty and not the usual kind you seem to get everywhere else. near the end of our meal Catherine came out to meet us. she is in charge of the deserts. My wife ordered the Frozen Key Lime Pie and loved it. Even though I am not a desert person I decided to order the Carrot Cake and was glad I did. It was delicious. It was a wonderful meal in every sense made even more enjoyable by getting to speak to Jose Luis and Catherine for a bit after the meal ended.
